Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Diesel Mechanic Technician to join our team at Waste Pro. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing complex issues with our fleet of heavy-duty trucks and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair engine, transmission, brake, suspension, electrical, hydraulic, and body component issues on heavy-duty and light-duty trucks.
  • Utilize vehicle computer electronics systems to interpret failure modes and initiate or assign repairs.
  • Conduct safety checks on vehicles and equipment to ensure compliance with corporate and OSHA standards.
  • Perform repairs utilizing Factory Service Manuals and maintain a clean, safe work area.
  • Communicate with managers and drivers to discuss preventive techniques and minimize future repairs.
  • Complete all required paperwork in a timely and concise manner.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of suspension inspections, diagnosis, and repair.
  • Knowledge of brake system inspections, diagnosis, and repair.
  • Knowledge of electrical system inspections, diagnosis, and repair.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic system inspections, diagnosis, and repair.
  • Proficient in the use of diagnostic tools and ability to interpret and make repairs from Service Manuals.
  • Ability to complete work within Suggested Repair Times (SRTs) and estimate time and material required for repairs.
  • Knowledge to provide assistance and guidance to Assistant Technicians and Shop Helpers.
  • CDL Class B (preferred within 12 months).
