About the Role:
Brains and Motion Education is seeking a qualified Music After-School Program Instructor to join our team. As a Music Educator, you will be responsible for leading and inspiring students through various music-related subjects, including Soundtrap and Music and Movement. You will teach the fundamentals of music, ensuring each child can progress at their own pace, and foster a collaborative and encouraging atmosphere that instills valuable lessons in teamwork and creativity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and Inspire: Guide students through music-related subjects, expanding their imaginations and skill sets.
- Teach Fundamentals: Educate students on the basics to advanced levels of music, ensuring each child can progress at their own pace.
- Foster Positive Environment: Create a collaborative and encouraging atmosphere, instilling valuable lessons in teamwork and creativity.
Requirements:
- 1-2 years of experience in music-related subject areas (Soundtrap, Music and Movement), with a strong passion for sharing your expertise with youth.
- A genuine enthusiasm for teaching and mentoring (coaching/teaching experience is highly encouraged).
- Excellent class management skills and the ability to work effectively with students in grades K-8.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license or State ID.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Willingness to undergo additional training as required.
- Ability to lift and carry approximately 20-50 lbs. occasionally, with or without accommodations.
Benefits:
- Wage: $32/hour

- Availability: Monday to Friday between 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM
