Job Title: Senior Lifeguard

Job Summary:

The Senior Lifeguard will be responsible for ensuring the safety of swimmers and pool patrons, as well as providing instruction and supervision in aquatic programs. This role requires strong communication and leadership skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide lifeguarding services and ensure the safety of swimmers and pool patrons
  • Supervise and instruct aquatic programs, including swim lessons and water aerobics
  • Enforce facility rules and regulations, and take appropriate action to prevent accidents and injuries
  • Assist in the maintenance of the aquatic facility, including its building, grounds, and equipment
  • Perform related duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • Current American Red Cross Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR and AED certification
  • Ability to swim with proficiency and endurance
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
Working Conditions:

This position requires work to be performed in a fast-paced aquatic environment, with exposure to heat, sun, and pool chemicals. The ability to work varied hours, including early morning, day, evening, and weekend shifts, is required.
