Overview

Mitchell Martin is seeking a highly skilled Oncology Nurse Specialist to join our team at a world-class hospital in Paramus, NJ. The successful candidate will have a strong background in nursing and be able to work independently and collaboratively with healthcare team members to deliver exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a changing work environment as a result of changing patient needs, including working with patients with acute, chronic, and complex disease processes, and those who are dying.
  • Effectively communicate (oral and written) with patients, family members, physicians, visitors, and co-workers during day-to-day, stressful, and emotionally charged situations.
  • Demonstrate clinical expertise, sound professional judgment, and the ability to work independently and cooperatively with healthcare team members.
  • Use effective time management to set priorities, perform job-related responsibilities, and respond quickly to emergency situations.
  • Utilize analytical and critical thinking skills to problem-solve, make clinical decisions, and respond quickly to meet patient care and departmental needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing required
  • Current/valid State of New Jersey license (or legal permission to work from the New Jersey Board of Nursing)
  • Completion of general nursing orientation
  • CPR certification and unit-based orientation
