Job Description

Fluor is seeking a highly skilled Project Procurement Specialist to join our team in the greater Denver area.

This role will be responsible for managing project procurement, including reviewing prime contracts, negotiating contract terms, administering subcontracts, and coordinating international shipments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with functional management and project management to gather requirements for procurement contracts.
  • Execute the procurement contract request for proposal (RFP) process, including issuing invitations for bids and reviewing vendor proposals.
  • Interface and coordinate with engineering teams.
  • Manage the worldwide supply and procurement of mechanical, electrical, structural steel, and services.
  • Negotiate procurement contract terms and conditions, team agreements, subcontracts, and other related procurement agreements.
  • Ensure project procurement commitments are met and manage subcontracts as necessary.
  • Administer purchase orders, resolve escalated issues, and manage workloads for multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Provide procurement support to sales and estimating staff and coordinate with freight forwarders and compliance teams.
  • Manage and report procurement data to functional leadership and project managers.
Requirements:
  • Accredited four-year degree or global equivalent in an applicable field of study and four years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to eight years if non-degreed.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Team player with strong collaboration skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize work.
  • Good knowledge of national and international procurement markets.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and experience with ERPs.
  • Experience expediting international shipments.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong preference for experience in mining or construction industry.

Salary Range: $76,000 to $130,000
