Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Sweet Bakery Assistant to join our team at Nothing Bundt Cakes. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring a smooth and efficient bakery operation by meeting high-volume baking demands and maintaining a clean and sanitized work environment.

About the Job

As a Sweet Bakery Assistant, you will be working closely with our bakers to prepare raw ingredients and equipment for baking, place cake pans in the oven, and monitor the baking process. You will also be responsible for adhering to proper packaging, labeling, and storage of baked cakes, as well as maintaining baking and refrigeration logs.

Responsibilities
  • Follow proprietary recipes and cake production methods with precision and achieve productivity goals.
  • Utilize measuring instruments, commercial-grade mixers, and ovens to bake cakes.
  • Assist baker with accurately preparing raw ingredients and equipment for baking.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitized work environment by washing, rinsing, and sanitizing baking pans, dishes, utensils, and other tools.
  • Comply with all health and safety guidelines and company policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Ability to understand written and oral directions, interpret instructional documents, and apply knowledge to perform job responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of basic units of measurement used in the U.S.
  • Physical ability to lift items of moderate to heavy weight (up to 50 pounds) and stand for extended periods.
  • Able to operate commercial-grade ovens and other bakery equipment.
