Key Responsibilities
  • Fabrication and Assembly: Assist in the fabrication, curing, buildup, and assembly of composite materials, following predetermined methods and sequences, and using provided tooling.
  • Blueprint Reading and Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, templates, sample parts, process sheets, and other authorized information to prepare work and assemble components.
  • Component Assembly: Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and subassemblies, and verifying specifications by measuring completed components.
  • Problem-Solving: Resolve assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications, notifying supervisors to obtain additional resources, and maintaining a safe and clean working environment.
  • Quality Control: Perform quality work checks to ensure products meet quality standards, and maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain inventory of products in workstations and perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures.
  • Training and Development: Participate in internal training as needed to perform duties assigned to this role.
Requirements
  • U.S. Person Status: U.S. Person status required due to export control.
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Experience: 12 years of mechanical assembly experience preferred.
  • Language Skills: Must be able to verbally communicate, read, and comprehend written and verbal instructions in English.
  • Computer Skills: Basic computer navigation and utilization skills required.
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to stand, walk, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and lift up to 25 pounds occasionally, and up to 50 pounds at times.
