About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Center Technician to join our team in Chicago, IL. As a Data Center Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the high uptime and repair services of our state-of-the-art computing and networking equipment. You will work under general supervision, performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting tasks to ensure the optimal performance of our data center infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on data center equipment, including network devices, servers, and storage systems.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with data center infrastructure, including network connectivity, power systems, and cooling systems.
  • Collaborate with the IT Director to develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures.
  • Ensure that the data center is maintained in a safe and clean condition, and that all equipment is properly secured and configured.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the IT Director.
About You

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual with a strong background in IT, computer hardware, or electrical engineering. The ideal candidate will have 1-3+ years of experience in a related field, and a basic understanding of IP addressing and subnets. The ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills, is essential.

The successful candidate will be able to lift/carry 30-50 lbs, and work in a fast-paced environment with varying temperatures and humidity levels. A motor vehicle check will be required as part of the hiring process.
