Job Description
This travel Interventional Radiology Technologist role requires an individual with experience in minimally invasive procedures. The successful candidate will assist interventional radiologists in performing a range of procedures, including angiograms, biopsies, catheter placements, stent insertions, and drain placements. They will also be responsible for preparing patients, operating imaging equipment, and maintaining a sterile environment throughout the procedure.
Key Responsibilities:
• Pre-procedure preparation: Ensure all necessary equipment and supplies are available, review patient information, and verify patient identity and consent forms.
• Assisting during procedures: Operate imaging equipment, maintain a sterile environment, and administer contrast agents as directed by the physician.
• Patient safety and comfort: Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the procedure, positioning the patient appropriately and minimizing radiation exposure.
• Post-procedure care: Monitor patients for any immediate complications, provide post-procedure care instructions, and assist with the removal of catheter lines or drains if required.
