Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist

Genie Healthcare is seeking a skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our team for a travel assignment in Mattoon, Illinois.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist to provide high-quality patient care in a critical care setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in respiratory therapy, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide respiratory care to patients with a variety of respiratory conditions, including chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), pneumonia, and acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS).
  • Develop and implement individualized respiratory care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care and achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Conduct routine assessments and evaluations to identify potential respiratory problems and develop strategies to prevent complications.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and other healthcare professionals.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
  • Adult critical care experience required.
  • Emergency department experience required.
  • Neonatal/pediatric experience required.
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS (AHA) certification required.
  • NRP and NBRC certification required.
  • Cerner experience required.
  • Ability to work 36 hours per week, with 12-hour shifts, nights.
