Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Loss Prevention Officer to join our team at Horseshoe Bay Resort. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our guests and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide initial medical aid and act as a first responder in emergency situations, assessing and rendering appropriate first aid and/or cardiopulmonary resuscitations as needed.
  • Investigate and document all incidents reported during your shift, including crimes, incidents, medical emergencies, and traffic-related incidents.
  • Identify trends and develop strategic plans to prevent similar occurrences in the future.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and participate in monthly limited response fire and medical aid drills.
  • Provide expert testimony on behalf of the resort in litigation matters.
  • Manage and store lost property, issue and record keys for various departments, and act as a dispatcher and surveillance monitor.
  • Perform administrative tasks, including filing, copying, data entry, and receiving and shipping packages.
  • Prepare incident reports as needed.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Private Security License and meet all qualifications listed on the State's page.
  • Basic Life Support (CPR) certification.
  • First Aid certification.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English with guests, management, and law enforcement.
  • Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Valid Texas Driver's License.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic mathematical calculations skills.
Physical and Mental Requirements

The physical demands of this role include walking, standing, sitting, using hands to handle objects, reaching, balancing, stooping, bending, pushing, pulling, and talking. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds and be exposed to extreme temperatures. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
