Job Summary:

This role involves ensuring safe movement of traffic around construction sites while adhering to Department of Transportation regulations. Key responsibilities include directing traffic flow, flagging motorists, and setting up temporary work zones.

Salary: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED
  • Hold a valid driver's license
  • Traffic control certification or willingness to obtain (company-sponsored)

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with construction teams to establish safe traffic movements
  • Direct traffic using DOT regulations
  • Flag motorists to warn them of obstacles or repair work ahead
  • Set up, maintain, and remove temporary work zones, including warning signs and traffic cones
  • Ensure daily testing and inspection of assigned tools and equipment
