Laser Fabrication Specialist

Modern Manufacturing Inc. is seeking a skilled Laser Fabrication Specialist to join our team in Eudora, KS. As a key member of our manufacturing facility, you will be responsible for operating laser cutting equipment to achieve high-quality production goals while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

• Operate Laser Cutting Equipment: Safely and efficiently operate CNC laser cutters, CNC routers, and press brakes to fabricate metal parts and components.
• Quality Control: Monitor and drive quality measures to ensure high-quality products, identifying and segregating nonconforming products to prevent introduction into the product stream.
• Housekeeping and Safety: Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring the consistent use of safety devices and personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Collaboration and Communication: Participate in employee communications, training, and development programs, and interact with interested parties to ensure all results are understood and acted upon.
• Problem-Solving and Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy, and provide support to engineering and management on special projects.

• Education and Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent, with at least 5 years of manufacturing and fabrication experience, including metal fabrication and quality control.
• Skills and Qualifications: Strong mathematical understanding, effective communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively in a team environment, and strong computer skills in Microsoft Office software.
• Physical Demands: Ability to walk, sit, or stand for extended periods, lift 50 pounds, and perform repetitive tasks in a fast-paced environment.

• Exposure to Hazards: Exposure to potential hazards, requiring protective clothing and equipment, such as steel-toed safety boots and a welding helmet.
• Work Environment: Fast-paced manufacturing environment with repetitive tasks and exposure to potential hazards.
