About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Certified Veterinary Technician Supervisor to join our team at VCA Naugatuck Animal Hospital. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing clinic operations and leading our team of Veterinary Technicians, Veterinary Assistants, and Housekeeping staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Directing workflow on the floor to ensure efficient and effective operations
  • Cultivating an engaging work environment and maintaining our strong hospital culture
  • Working collaboratively with hospital management and supervisory teams to drive hospital growth and development
  • Assisting with the interview process and onboarding new associates
  • Providing educational development opportunities for technicians and their skills
  • Conducting staff meetings and providing feedback and coaching
  • Mentoring and training technicians within the department
  • Organizing and implementing a team staffing schedule
  • Resolving conflicts in a professional and humble manner
  • Refining and implementing protocols to ensure compliance with VCA policies and guidelines
Requirements
  • Credentialed Veterinary Technician (CVT, LVT, RVT, LVMT) with 5+ years of clinical experience
  • Team leadership experience with a passion for veterinary medicine
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
