At ARS Aleut Construction, we are seeking a skilled Transportation Specialist to join our team. As a vital member of our operations team, you will be responsible for safely transporting students and equipment to various vocational sites.

About the Role

  • We are looking for an individual with a valid State driver's license in the state of employment and an acceptable driving record.
  • Your ability to fluently read and write English is essential, as well as your capacity to effectively communicate with team members and maintain a positive working relationship with all facility staff and departments.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • You will transport students by bus and automobile to various vocational sites, medical centers, recreational activities, courts, etc., while adhering to DOT regulations and government, corporate, and management directives.
  • In addition to transportation duties, you will perform vehicle maintenance tasks, inspect vehicles, and report on their mechanical condition.
  • Accurate and complete trip reports must be maintained for each use of any vehicle.
  • Other responsibilities include assisting in reception functions, maintaining the staff/student/visitor control area, and acting as switchboard operations when required.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent is required, along with six months of work-related experience preferred.
  • CPR/First Aid Certification and the ability to operate power tools are also necessary qualifications.

Working Conditions

Estimated Salary Range: $45,000-$55,000 per year based on experience and location. This salary range reflects the national average for this role and may vary depending on factors such as cost of living, industry standards, and local market conditions.
