Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Structural Welder to join our team at NSC Technologies, LLC. As a Structural Welder, you will be responsible for welding together metal components of products, ensuring high-quality results and meeting customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Weld metal components together, using electric arc-welding equipment, to create strong and durable products.
  • Prepare material surfaces for welding, ensuring they are free from loose or thick scale, slag, rust, moisture, grease, or other foreign matter.
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments, using various welding processes.
  • Clean or degrease weld joints or work pieces, using wire brushes, portable grinders, or chemical baths.
  • Set up and operate welding equipment, selecting the proper electrodes according to the metals to be joined or as instructed.
  • Perform grinding and joint preparation for NDT processes, ensuring accurate and reliable results.
  • Construct or repair metal products by joining parts, either manually or by machine, using various welding methods.
  • Read and understand Chemist and Competent Persons reports, determining if job sites are safe for personnel and hot work.
  • Mark or tag material with proper job numbers, piece marks, and other identifying marks as required.
  • Wear personal protective equipment, including hard hats, safety glasses, steel toe boots/shoes, and respirators, as necessary.
Requirements
  • Must be able to demonstrate ability to perform multi-pass, all-position fillet and butt welds using SMAW, GMAW, and FCAW.
  • Knowledge of welding techniques, tools, and equipment, including oxygen-acetylene, electric arc, and TIG welding.
  • Technical training preferred.
  • Ability to comprehend blueprints, sketches, and templates.
  • Must be able to work effectively with others and understand and act upon instructions.
