About the Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Assistant Professor to join our team at the Center for Agricultural Policy and Trade Studies at North Dakota State University. This is a full-time, non-tenure track position that offers an outstanding opportunity for independent research and collaboration with a team of experts from NDSU, UC Davis, and USDA-ERS.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research on international trade and welfare implications of GMO regulations
  • Collaborate with a team of researchers to evaluate the trade and welfare implications of GMO regulations
  • Participate actively in the University's intellectual activities and may participate in the teaching program
Requirements
  • Ph.D. in economics or related fields, preferably within the last two years
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Advanced training in international economics, specifically quantitative trade modeling and the application of machine learning techniques to economic research problems
Preferred Qualifications
  • Record of extramural funding and publications
  • Advanced training and analytical experience in international economics
