The Associate Vice President of Nursing is responsible for establishing and overseeing the framework necessary to implement and uphold professional nursing standards.

This role is crucial for strategic planning, execution, assessment, and refinement of systems that bolster the realization of professional nursing practices, aligning with the organization's vision and objectives.

The AVP of Nursing is a pivotal leader in fulfilling the organization's commitment to exceptional patient care and advancing nursing's mission of fostering a new benchmark of excellence in independent and responsible nursing practices, dedicated to patient advocacy and innovative care within a supportive and collaborative environment.

Possessing a clear vision and a strong dedication to achieving clinical excellence, this leader drives effective strategies and purposeful actions focused on key clinical outcomes, including but not limited to value-based care, infection control, length of stay, readmission rates, and overall patient satisfaction.

With a strong emphasis on evidence-based practices and innovation, the AVP ensures accountability within teams and adeptly prioritizes tasks to deliver results. This role also contributes to the standardization and optimization of processes across various disciplines and departments, enhancing operational effectiveness and efficiency while minimizing costs.


Qualifications

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or related field is mandatory
  • Master's Degree is highly preferred and must be obtained within three years of employment commencement

Licensure and Certifications:

  • Must possess a valid Florida Nursing License
  • Certifications in ACLS and BLS for Healthcare Providers are preferred

Skills and Additional Training:

  • Must meet or exceed all continuing education requirements in specialty areas
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English is essential

Professional Experience:

  • A minimum of five years of professional nursing experience is required
  • Proven leadership and management capabilities, with comprehensive knowledge of advanced nursing practices, continuous quality improvement processes, nursing care delivery models, healthcare systems, and budget management
