Position Summary:
The Ultrasound Technology Intern will collaborate with a seasoned Ultrasound Technologist to support various administrative and patient care responsibilities during ultrasound examinations.
Essential Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in an accredited Ultrasound program, having completed at least one semester of formal education and clinical practice. Preference will be given to candidates nearing the completion of their clinical training.
- Possession of a valid CPR/BLS certification from recognized organizations or a commitment to obtain it within six weeks of employment.
- Maintain a minimum academic performance of 2.5 GPA.
Key Skills and Competencies:
- Exhibits strong interpersonal skills, including warmth, empathy, and active listening.
- Excellent communication skills, with proficiency in both written and spoken English. Capable of delivering clear instructions to patients and clients.
- Skilled in operating oxygen equipment and utilizing patient lifting/transport devices.
- Capable of performing ultrasound procedures independently once competencies are validated by the clinical coordinator.
