Position Available:

Nutritional Services Manager

As the Nutritional Services Manager, you will oversee the Dietary Department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality food and nutritional services to our residents. This role involves providing guidance and leadership to all dietary staff to guarantee that services are rendered consistently and to a high standard. Key responsibilities include planning, organizing, controlling, and directing all aspects of the dietary department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain an adequate inventory of food and supplies.
  • Process dietary modifications.
  • Monitor the dining area.
  • Establish sanitation protocols for the department.
  • Recruit, mentor, and manage dietary staff.
  • Engage with residents to assess food service satisfaction.
  • Compile nutritional histories, clarify dietary needs, identify preferences, and assist in the planning of special meals and events.
  • Develop staff schedules and arrange for coverage as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of dietary practices and current regulations, or a willingness to learn.
  • Ability to lead effectively and collaborate with management, staff, and residents/families.
  • Experience in managing and supervising team members.
  • Preference for candidates with prior management experience in a culinary environment.
  • Preference for candidates with experience in commercial food preparation.
  • This role requires leadership skills along with a fundamental understanding of budgeting, food procurement, and menu development.
  • Excellent communication skills are essential, along with a commitment to enhancing the knowledge and skills of dietary services for the elderly residents in our care.
  • Must be capable of performing essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Must meet employment qualifications following a criminal background check, in accordance with relevant guidelines.
  • Work Hours: Full-Time, hourly position with variable hours.

Compensation:

$26-$31.60 per hour, based on experience.
