We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Data Analyst to join our team at Truist. As a Risk Data Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting stakeholders and initiatives within the Risk Management Organization.
Key Responsibilities- Design, implement, and execute complex recurring or ad hoc reports, analyses, data, system-related, or operational tasks in accordance with departmental processes and controls.
- Investigate and research unexplained variations in reports, data, systems, etc. Explain results of reports and research to department management and other stakeholders.
- Develop and administer controls to ensure the integrity of departmental process. Evaluate and recommend improvements to departmental processes.
- Assist with development of departmental documentation.
- Serve as a consultative resource on risk reporting, data, system, or related issues. Engage with stakeholders to identify business objectives and scope solution requirements.
- Lead small projects with manageable risks and resource requirements; play significant roles in larger, more complex initiatives.
- Act as a resource for teammates with less experience.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- 5+ years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- In-depth knowledge of principles, practices, theories, and/or methodologies associated with the professional discipline (e.g., information technology, project management, finance, risk management, etc.). Understanding of foundational concepts of other related professional disciplines.
- Knowledge of the industry's competitive landscape and the factors that differentiate Truist and its competitors in the market.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to interpret and explain complex information to a range of audiences and build consensus among different stakeholders.
- Ability to exercise judgment in solving technical, operational, and organizational challenges.
- Ability to lead small projects.
- Graduate degree in related field
- 7+ years of related experience
- Previous experience in banking, with specific emphasis on reporting, business intelligence, systems, technology, data, risk, compliance or related areas
- Relevant professional or technical certifications
- Advanced skills in data wrangling, data engineering, data science, or related areas. Experience with languages and tools such as Python, SQL, SAS, Qlik, Tableau, etc.
