Job Title: Lifeguard

At the City of Bridgeton, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Lifeguard to join our team. As a Lifeguard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of patrons at our aquatic facility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain constant surveillance of patrons and respond promptly to emergencies.
  • Provide emergency care and treatment until the arrival of medical services.
  • Present a professional appearance and attitude at all times.
  • Perform maintenance duties to maintain a clean and safe facility.
  • Prepare and maintain activity reports.
Requirements:
  • Must be 15 years old prior to start date.
  • Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
  • Skill in lifeguarding surveillance and rescue techniques.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment physical skills evaluation.
  • Knowledge of CPR and emergency medical procedures.

A current certificate in American Red Cross Lifeguarding is preferred. Training is provided at no charge to applicants who successfully complete an interview and swimming evaluation.
