Position Overview:
This role is crucial for executing maintenance and repair tasks on gas compression equipment components and instruments, including pumps, controllers, and valves, at our workshop facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Mastery of standard operating procedures related to gas compressor packages.
- Proficient in engine repairs across various makes and models.
- Extensive knowledge of measurement tools such as dial indicators, feeler gauges, and micrometers.
- Familiarity with wear limits and tolerances for compressors and engines.
- Ability to interpret manufacturer specifications and basic blueprints.
Installation and Maintenance:
- Capable of installing compressor package components, including preparing, setting, and leveling skids, engines, and coolers.
- Work independently with strong decision-making skills.
- Oversee test runs and quality assurance checks.
- Complete and submit all inspection reports.
Team Development:
- Mentor and train junior mechanics.
- Collaborate with the team to enhance work processes.
- Execute tasks autonomously while adhering to safety regulations.
Communication:
- Write and comprehend customer scopes, addressing discrepancies and suggesting corrective actions.
- Charge labor and materials to the appropriate work orders.
Work Environment:
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace, ensuring proper waste disposal.
- Ability to work under pressure and in various climates.
- Physical capability to lift, pull, and push a minimum of 50 lbs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Over 10 years of experience in engine and compressor mechanics, as well as production equipment and gas compression.
