Parkview Health is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team. As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for operating MRI equipment and performing diagnostic imaging procedures in accordance with department policy and procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Operate MRI equipment and perform diagnostic imaging procedures in accordance with department policy and procedures.
- Work together with physicians to perform a variety of specialized procedures.
- Set up and adjust equipment to perform diagnostic procedures.
- Position patients to obtain images of the area of interest, while respecting the patient's ability and comfort.
- Obtain appropriate patient information for the procedure being completed.
- Secure and provide a safe environment for the technologist and any one else in the area, utilizing PPE and other guidelines as needed.
- Recognize emergent situations and activate assistance as needed.
- Assist other areas and shifts as needed.
- Satisfactory completion of formal radiologic technology training.
- Current certification by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)(MR), or American Registry of MRI Technologists (ARMRIT).
- Previous experience in MRI preferred, but not required, or previous experience in a similar role.
- Knowledge of imaging the various anatomical structures.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs., 100 lbs. shared lifting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Working knowledge of general computer skills and applications.
