Job Title: Clinic Ultrasound Technologist

Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a skilled Clinic Ultrasound Technologist to join our team in West Allis, Wisconsin.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to perform general, vascular, and cardiac ultrasound procedures. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating ultrasound equipment, positioning patients, and selecting proper transducers and technical factors to ensure accurate images.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate ultrasound equipment to perform general, vascular, and cardiac procedures/studies.
  • Position patients and select proper transducers and technical factors for accurate ultrasound procedures.
  • Review patient medical records to obtain necessary clinical information.
  • Accurately identify and label images, including patient name, medical record unit number, and location or position of scan.
  • Maintain records in accordance with regulatory agencies and enter patient and study information into the radiology information system.
  • Communicate findings to physicians and serve as a technical resource for staff.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain laboratory accreditation.
Requirements:
  • Medical Sonographer (RDMS) registration with Abdomen issued by the American Registry of Diagnostic Med Sonography (ARDMS).
  • Medical Sonographer (RDMS) registration with OB/GYN issued by the American Registry of Diagnostic Med Sonography (ARDMS).
  • Vascular Technologist (RVT) registration issued by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced training beyond High School in Sonography.
  • 2 years of experience in a Sonographer role.
