Sundance Mountain Resort is seeking a highly motivated and mechanically inclined individual to join our team as a Snowcat Operator Trainee. As a key member of our resort operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and quality of our mountain experience.

• Training and Development: Receive comprehensive training on the operation of heavy mountain equipment, including snow groomers and other machinery.
• Mountain Grooming: Assist in the preparation and maintenance of our mountain slopes to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for our guests.
• Equipment Maintenance: Perform daily inspections and basic maintenance on snow groomers and other equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with mountain operations, including weather conditions and equipment malfunctions.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with other resort operations team members to ensure seamless execution of mountain operations.

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; mechanical aptitude and experience with heavy equipment a plus.
• Experience: Previous experience with heavy equipment operation and snow grooming equipment a plus.
• Physical Demands: Ability to work in a fast-paced outdoor environment, lift up to 100 pounds, and stand for long periods.
• Certifications: Must meet Sundance Mountain Resort's insurance requirements for driving vehicles.
