Job Overview

Position: Satellite Communications Engineer

Location: Remote

We are seeking a qualified Satellite Communications Engineer to support our projects involving the configuration, integration, and testing of advanced satellite communication systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and conduct hardware and software testing for satellite modem terminals.
  • Configure networks and simulate traffic to validate various use cases.
  • Create and execute test scripts, ensuring automation across diverse scenarios.
  • Perform testing in accordance with established procedures and document results thoroughly.
  • Develop and maintain the test environment utilizing emulators.
  • Design and implement web interfaces for system testing.
  • Possess knowledge of sensors and offboard data transmission in the aerospace sector.

Preferred Qualifications:

A Bachelor's Degree or higher in aerospace or computer engineering is preferred, along with over 10 years of experience in telecommunications and networking.

Familiarity with Universal Aircraft Terminal and satellite modems is a plus.

Key Skills:

  • Expertise in configuration, integration, and testing of satellite communication systems.
  • Experience with satellite modem operations for aircraft-ground communication.
  • Understanding of SATCOM connectivity, including Controller Pilot Data Link Communication and Automatic Dependent Surveillance.
  • Knowledge of avionics testing and ground network systems.
  • Familiarity with communication technologies such as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and various satellite bands.
