We are seeking a highly skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team at Nava Healthcare Recruiting. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our dental office.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough clinical examinations of patients, including teeth and surrounding tissues, and record findings and treatment plans in our electronic dental record system.
- Provide personalized oral hygiene instruction and counseling to patients, emphasizing the importance of proper nutrition and dietary habits.
- Apply fluoride varnish and pit and fissure sealant as needed, ensuring the highest level of patient care.
- Expose radiographs and file them in our digital patient database, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
- Perform periodontal charting and provide recommendations and treatment plans to patients, ensuring the best possible outcomes.
- Assist with expanded duty dental assistant tasks as required, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to learn.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment, adhering to OSHA, EPA, and HIPAA regulations.
- Participate in Quality Assurance and Continuous Quality Improvement activities, contributing to the growth and development of our organization.
- High school diploma or equivalent, with completion of an accredited Dental Hygienist course and radiography certificate.
- SC licensure as a Dental Hygienist, with at least one year of experience in the field.
- Proficiency in dental electronic record systems and digital radiography systems.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle sensitive situations and maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and patients, demonstrating poise, tact, and diplomacy.
