Job Title: Field Maintenance Technician

Waterway Carwash is seeking a skilled Field Maintenance Technician to support our locations in Chicago. This role involves overseeing and coordinating all necessary and ongoing maintenance of car wash systems and technology, as well as ensuring compliance with safety and security protocols.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, inspect, and repair car wash equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Monitor costs related to utilities, chemical use, parts use, and building and grounds maintenance.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to other maintenance employees and store management.
  • Assist store management in workplace safety, chemical application, parts and supply inventory, equipment preventative maintenance.
  • Maintain building and grounds for facilities, including landscaping maintenance.
Requirements:
  • Degree in a technical field or a minimum of 2 years' experience in a maintenance-related field.
  • Electrical experience, including diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs, with a focus on 480v 3-phase systems.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Ability to work a flexible 5-day schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proven electrical experience with low and high voltage systems.
  • Knowledge and experience with plumbing, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Ability to problem solve in an organized and systematic manner.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Computer proficiency.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor, including heavy lifting and standing for long periods.
  • Good vision and hearing.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and customers.
