Job Title: Ultrasound Technologist

St. Charles Health System is seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our Diagnostic Imaging team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic and interventional ultrasound examinations in accordance with department policies and protocols.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform diagnostic and interventional ultrasound examinations
  • Follow Health and Safety Policies and Procedures
  • Assist in record maintenance and statistics
  • Participate in student training program
  • Support Lean principles of continuous improvement
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound training program
  • Current American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) Registry or Registry eligible
  • Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) license
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider certification
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Additional registry through ARDMS
  • One year full-time experience as a registered Ultrasound Technologist
Work Environment:

Our Diagnostic Imaging Departments perform X-Ray, Ultrasound, CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, and PET/CT exams in a variety of locations. We work closely with our partners at Cascade Medical Imaging to meet the imaging needs of our community.

Personal Protective Equipment:

Must be able to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required to perform the job safely.

Physical Requirements:

Category: Patient Care Level #3

Continually: Standing and walking, keyboard operation, use of clear and audible speaking voice and the ability to hear normal speech level.

Frequently: Sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling 1-25 pounds.

Occasionally: Bending, stooping/kneeling/crouching, climbing ladder/stepstool (varies by area), reaching overhead, lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling 25-50 pounds.

Rarely: Climbing stairs.

Never: Climbing ladder/stepstool (varies by area), operation of a motor vehicle.

Exposure to Elemental Factors

Rarely: Wet/slippery area, chemical solution.

Never: Heat, cold, noise, dust, vibration, uneven surface.
