Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider to join our Primary Care team at Houston Methodist Primary Care Group. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to our patients, working collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Provide diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventative care to primary care patients, including conducting physicals, ordering tests and therapy, and prescribing medications as needed.
  • Work independently under the indirect supervision of a licensed physician or as part of a treatment team to deliver high-quality patient care.
  • Collaborate with interprofessional team members to manage and coordinate patient care, ensuring seamless transitions and optimal outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to establish a relationship and develop a plan of care.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and evidence-based practices, integrating current knowledge into your clinical practice to promote quality healthcare.
Requirements
  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Bachelor of Physician Assistant Studies (BPAS) from an accredited program.
  • One year of advanced practice clinical experience for Physician Assistants or two years of experience for Nurse Practitioners.
  • Two years of experience in primary care, family medicine, or outpatient internal medicine preferred.
  • Current licensure and certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the state of Texas.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and DEA registration within six months of hire.
