Accurate Payroll Coordinator

This Payroll Specialist role is a critical component of our HR Team, responsible for ensuring accurate and efficient payroll processing.
About the PositionThe successful candidate will have a strong background in payroll processing, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities- Enter data into payroll and HRIS systems with accuracy and efficiency.
- Distribute paychecks and resolve payroll discrepancies.
- Manage personnel changes, including new hires, terminations, status changes, and employee updates in the HRIS system.
- Maintain PTO and other HR data within the system and backup Excel spreadsheets as needed.
- Develop and implement system improvements to enhance payroll and ancillary system processes.
- Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers regarding payroll-related inquiries.
- Prepare regular reports, including union dues, pension contributions, overtime, and others as requested or required.
An Associate's Degree and at least 3 years of payroll processing experience, or a High School Diploma with a minimum of 5 years of work experience in payroll processing. Strong interpersonal skills, excellent communication and customer service skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, HRIS, and payroll systems, and strong organizational skills are essential.
Estimated Salary Range:$65,000 - $85,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
