Certified Nursing Assistant Job Description

Amergis is seeking a skilled Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team. As a CNA, you will provide direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed medical professional.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of patient confidentiality and HIPAA requirements. You will be responsible for maintaining patient confidentiality, performing duties within the scope of practice, and adhering to facility/client policy and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA requirements
  • Perform duties within the scope of practice and in an accurate and timely manner
  • Assist doctors, nurses, and other healthcare providers with treatments, procedures, and tests
  • Safeguard patients by observing infection control procedures
  • Notify supervising nurses of any abnormal findings or conditions

Requirements:

  • Prefer one year experience as a certified nursing assistant within the last three years
  • Graduate from a certified nursing assistant program with subsequent documentation as a certified nursing assistant per state requirements
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and clerical functions
  • Compliance with all relevant professional standards of practice
