We are seeking an experienced DevOps/Kubernetes Engineer to support the development, integration, deployment, and sustainment of mission-critical systems. Candidates must actively hold a TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph, OR hold an active TS/SCI and willing to undergo a Polygraph.
Key Responsibilities:
- Automate manual processes and maintain processes developed by the CAAT
- Develop Windows automation using Python and/or Microsoft PowerShell
- Support the deployment of microservices through a DevSecOps pipeline in a multi-tenant environment that includes both Windows and Linux systems
- Manage GitLab CI/CD pipeline code, configure, troubleshoot, and deploy Docker containers
- Review code in Git repositories and provide technical guidance for microservices
- Support developer testing, create and maintain DevOps documentation, and perform security remediation as needed
Requirements:
- Active TS/SCI Clearance With Polygraph, OR willingness to take a Polygraph
- Proactive self-starter with a positive attitude, excellent oral and written communication skills
- A minimum of 2-3 years of recent experience with Kubernetes infrastructure, preferably with OpenShift or EKS
- A minimum of 2-3 years of recent experience with Docker containers
- Proficiency in Microsoft PowerShell, Python, or similar scripting languages
- Demonstrated experience administrating both Microsoft Windows and Linux operating systems
- Understanding of custom code development and reviews
- Experience with GitLab functionality, error codes, and scripting
- Experience with AWS services and technologies (e.g., CloudFormation, S3, ECS)
- Experience with AWS Serverless architectures (e.g., Lambda, API Gateway, load balancing, autoscaling)
- Experience supporting development testing
- Experience with cloud-based architectures
- Understanding of DevSecOps methodologies and workflow
- Experience developing and managing CI/CD pipelines
- Knowledge of software development and software sustainment practices
- Familiarity with team collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, RocketChat)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience troubleshooting, configuring, and deploying Docker containers
- Experience with AWS Lambda and AWS ECS
- Experience with GitLab CI/CD
- AWS certification (e.g., DevOps Engineer, Solutions Architect)
- Linux certifications
- Experience with ArcGIS or geospatial technologies
Physical Requirements:
- Adequate vision to perform tasks effectively, including close and distance work.
- Good hearing ability to effectively communicate and respond to auditory cues.
- Capacity to perform repetitive tasks consistently with minimal breaks, demonstrating endurance and stamina throughout the work shift.
Education Requirements:
- A Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a closely related discipline with 8+ years of relevant experience, or Master's degree with 6+ years of relevant experience
