Job Summary
As a skilled Computed Tomography Technologist at Blount Memorial Hospital, you will perform computed tomography procedures at a technical level, requiring independent judgment and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiological diagnosis. Your expertise will be essential in performing procedures for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, ensuring high-quality images and accurate diagnoses.

Job Specifications

Education and/or Experience:
A minimum of one year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist, with satisfactory completion of formal Radiologic training and eligibility for CT Certification by ARRT. You must also possess CPR certification and have gained a minimum of three months of additional experience in CT imaging techniques, including spiral scanning.

Knowledge / Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to start IVs on contrasted exams. You must also demonstrate self-direction in improving and acquiring the skills and abilities necessary to enhance job performance, including the use of RIS/PACS to archive patient data and images.

Abilities:
Expected to have excellent manners and represent the facility in a way that patients feel well cared for and would return in the future. You must also demonstrate proper telephone etiquette, strong attention to detail, and the ability to meet or exceed patient satisfaction at all times. Comfortable learning and working with new computer systems, you will be able to interact with patients and staff in a courteous, professional manner, working independently following physician protocols.
