Cybersecurity Automation Expert

We are seeking a seasoned Cybersecurity Automation Expert to provide advanced expertise in securing automated systems for our federal client's critical operations.
About the RoleThis integral position plays a pivotal role in safeguarding the integrity and resilience of automated processes and technologies. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for:
- Designing, implementing, and maintaining security infrastructure, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), data loss prevention (DLP), and security information and event management (SIEM) systems.
- Conducting and automating security assessments and penetration testing to identify vulnerabilities and develop mitigation strategies.
- Developing and maintaining security policies, procedures, and standards in compliance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Developing and tracking Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms) to address identified security vulnerabilities and compliance gaps.
- Supporting DevSecOps initiatives by developing and implementing test-driven security within a CI/CD pipeline.
- Working and supporting Authorization to Operate (ATOs, cATOs).
- Conducting research on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and technologies to stay updated on the evolving security landscape.
- Participating in incident response activities, including forensic analysis, evidence gathering, and reporting.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 7+ years of experience as a Security Automation Engineer/Tester or related field.
- An active Secret clearance.
- U.S. citizenship with no dual citizenship.
- Willingness and ability to meet recall requirements, including participation in a rotational on-call schedule.
- Able to reside within a commutable distance and work onsite at the customer's discretion.
Prior experience in some or all of the following is highly desirable:
- Chef Automate
- Appscan
- IBM Nexus
- Splunk
- Vault (Vault Enterprise, Venafi)
- Selenium
We offer a competitive salary range of $90,000 - $140,000, depending on experience and qualifications. Additionally, we provide a variety of benefits, including:

Please note that compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
