Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic

Job Summary:

Aerotek is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing complex machinery and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and maintain heavy machinery and equipment, including presses, precision machines, boring mills, planners, and lathes.
  • Select and specify motors, shafts, pulleys, and belts.
  • Align machines and equipment using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rules, micrometers, and plumb bobs.
  • Install complicated group counter and line shafts.
  • Perform a wide variety of construction and repair work on equipment such as compressors, conveyors, and line shafts.
  • Use care and judgment when planning, moving, rigging, and handling equipment to minimize interference with production.
  • Diagnose trouble quickly to avoid shutdowns.
  • Insert shims, adjust tension on nuts and bolts, or position parts using hand tools and measuring instruments to set specified clearances between moving and stationary parts.
  • Assemble and install equipment using hand tools and power tools.

Requirements:

  • Pneumatics knowledge.
  • Hydraulics knowledge.
  • Basic electrical knowledge, including the ability to work with 3-phase motors up to 480V.
  • Experience working on conveyors.
  • Ability to work 80% mechanically and 20% electrically.
