Student Events Coordinator

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Student Events Coordinator to join our team at Apex International Education Partners LLC. As a key member of our residential life team, you will be responsible for delivering a robust and dynamic events and activities calendar for our international middle-school and high-school students.
Key Responsibilities- Event Planning and Coordination: Create, coordinate, and implement a monthly events and activities calendar that promotes student engagement, safety, and fun.
- Student Support and Supervision: Provide essential care, support, and supervision to create an inclusive and welcoming environment for our students.
- Program Development: Develop and implement programs that foster life skills, community living, and student leadership initiatives.
- Communication and Outreach: Maintain visibility and availability to students, communicate regularly with domestic and international staff, and provide updates on events and activities.
- Emergency and Health Support: Monitor student whereabouts, respond to emergencies, and provide support for student health and well-being.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree required; Advanced degree in Education or related discipline preferred.
- Experience: Experience in education, caring for high school-aged children, and/or prior experience as a senior Resident Advisor or Student Events/Activities Coordinator & Planner in a dormitory or boarding school setting.
- Skills: Excellent decision-making skills, strong leadership qualities, and sensitivity for the welfare of international middle school and high school student residents.
- Certifications: Valid Driver's License, 3+ years of experience, and reliable transportation required.
- Compensation: Full-Time, Salaried, Exempt, Health Benefits (after 60 days of service) + Paid Time Off (PTO) + 401K (after 1 year of service).
- Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 12:30pm-9:00pm w/ Saturdays 9:00am-5:30pm.
- Work Location: On-Campus/Dormitory (Derby, CT). Preference given to candidates who live close to the dormitory in Derby, CT.
