Donation Attendant

The Salvation Army's Retail Team is dedicated to serving and impacting our local community through the commitment to "Do The Most Good" at our Henderson Thrift Store, which supports the Adult Rehabilitation Program.

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Donation Attendant to join our team. As a key member of our Retail Team, you will play a vital role in maintaining a positive shopping and donor experience, enhancing customer service, problem-solving, and teamwork skills, while contributing to the success of our Program and its participants.

• Maintain and clean up the area in and around the Donation trailer/pod at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Assist donors in the receipt of donated items and provide receipts.
• Maintain all reports and paperwork as instructed by Supervisor.
• Separate and sort all donated material into the proper containers and properly stack material as instructed by the Supervisor.
• Assist TSA PA/Drivers with loading donations onto trucks as necessary.
• Inform the supervisor of needed items prior to running out.
• Secure and lock Donation trailer/pod at the end of each shift.

• High School diploma/GED preferred.
• Must pass background check, which will include Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry.
• Ability to read and write and to understand and follow both written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to communicate effectively with management, fellow store employees, customers, and donors.
