We are seeking an experienced software engineering leader to manage a team of research software engineers at the Institute for Disease Modeling (IDM) at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. As a technical leader, you will play a key role in realizing IDM's vision through the impact you have as a collaborator, thought partner, and technical expert.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a team of research software engineers, providing technical leadership and guidance to ensure the successful delivery of software projects.

Requirements
  • Extensive track record as a software engineering manager, with experience leading software engineering projects for a wide range of user types.

  • Understanding of common software development lifecycle practices and associated tools and services.
  • Experience crafting, delivering, and supporting software in open-source models, particularly for use in low-resource settings.
