Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Host to join our team at Hard Rock Casino Northern Indiana. As a Host, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest service and ensuring a memorable experience for our patrons.

Key Responsibilities
  • Welcoming guests and escorting them to their tables or booths in a courteous and friendly manner.
  • Inspecting dining areas and setting tables as needed.
  • Practicing and observing safety rules and regulations in all dining areas.
  • Managing comps and reservation sheets.
  • Running reports for servers, micros, and credit card machines.
  • Presenting checks and collecting settlements for all necessary items.
  • Serving efficiently between 25-35 guests per half-hour.
  • Completing opening and closing side duties.
  • Stocking areas with necessary items during and after shifts.
  • Maintaining cleanliness of all dining areas.
  • Having detailed knowledge of all food menu items.
  • Ringing financial transactions accurately.
  • Following policies and procedures regarding alcohol.
  • Abiding by cash handling policies and procedures.
  • Picking up and returning bank and revenue to and from cage or cash room.
  • Verifying banks received and returned from cage or cash room.
  • Taking reservations when necessary.
  • Staying knowledgeable of events.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalency preferred.
  • Strong mathematical skills required.
  • Ability to read and write English required.
  • Two years' guest service experience in a family or formal dining environment.
  • Casino Food & Beverage experience preferred.
Additional Requirements
  • Must obtain and maintain all licenses/certifications per Federal, State, and Indiana Gaming Commission.
  • Must successfully pass background check.
  • Must successfully pass drug screening.
  • Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.
  • Must be able to work holidays and weekends, as well as flexible shifts.
  • Must be bilingual in English and one Asian language (e.g., Cantonese, Mandarin, Vietnamese, etc.).
