We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Industrial Machine Operator to join our team at Delta Air Lines, Inc. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for setting up and operating Computerized Numerical Controlled (CNC) and Conventional equipment to perform complex or precision operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate CNC and Conventional equipment to perform complex or precision operations
  • Load programs, set tool compensation offsets, edit programs, and adjust tools to part specifications
  • Ensure operation of machinery, including completing preventive maintenance and programming PRIMS
  • Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation
  • Conserve maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed
  • Participate in educational opportunities and stay up-to-date with technical publications
  • Document actions and maintain continuity among work shifts
  • Provide maintenance information to others and prepare maintenance reports
Requirements
  • Minimum of four years verifiable experience as an industrial CNC machine operator
  • CNC operator certificate or 2-year degree in manufacturing technology, PLC programming, industrial systems technology, or machine tool technology
  • Proficient in reading and comprehending mechanical drawings and schematics
  • Good mechanical ability with above-average problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to provide outstanding customer service
Preferred Qualifications
  • CNC Technology diploma
  • Thermal Spray experience (High Velocity Oxygen Fuel (HVOF), Plasma, and Cold Spray)
  • ABB robotic programming experience
  • Thermal Spray machining experience
  • Masking, gas turbine engine-related experience
