Job Summary

Kids Peace Mesabi Academies is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Behavior Technician to join our team. As a key member of our residential treatment team, you will play a vital role in supporting clients with intellectual disabilities and/or developmental disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement behavioral interventions and support plans in a residential setting, working closely with Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) to ensure effective treatment outcomes.
  • Assist BCBAs in developing and reviewing data collection instruments to maximize accuracy, integrity, and efficiency.
  • Identify functional behavior-environment relationships based on antecedent-behavior-consequence (ABC) data and develop appropriate interventions to address behaviors of concern/skill deficits.
  • Collaborate with the treatment team to implement behavior modification interventions and support clients in achieving their goals.
  • Participate in regular supervisions with BCBAs and other team members to ensure open communication and effective support.
  • Maintain certification in KidsPeace-sanctioned de-escalation techniques and physical management practices.
  • Support BCBAs in training others on the use of interventions and strategies derived from Applied Behavior Analysis.
Requirements
  • Current Registered Behavior Technician certificate.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of at least 2 years' experience in the Health and Human Services field strongly preferred.
  • Possess basic computer knowledge and skills required.
  • Prior experience with the use of Applied Behavior Analysis strongly preferred.
  • Valid and current driver's license required.
  • Experience working with individuals with intellectual disability, developmental disabilities, and/or behavioral challenges strongly preferred.
