Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing Class 8 trucks and trailers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and repair Class 8 trucks and trailers
  • Work on chassis components, lift axles, PTO components, air/electric controls, air and braking systems, engine repair, suspension, drivetrain, steering systems, heating and air, etc.
  • Occasional yard equipment service and repair
  • Assist in coordinating daily ship operations and ensuring timely completion of repair tasks
  • Perform computer repair diagnostics to determine root cause of issue
  • Roadside repair and maintenance utilizing a company service truck on occasion
  • Occasional weekend work may be required
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Experience scheduling work and managing budget is preferred

Requirements:

  • Trade School or Diesel Technology education
  • 5+ years of experience as a diesel mechanic
  • State Mechanic Certifications are preferred
  • Strong troubleshooting ability
