JOB OVERVIEW
As a Veterinary Compounding Pharmacy Technician at Niktor Solutions, you will be integral to our mission of delivering exceptional veterinary medications while ensuring the health and safety of animals. In this role, you will operate within a modern compounding facility under the guidance of a licensed pharmacist, focusing on the preparation of non-sterile medications in accordance with pharmacy regulations and industry standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Learn and implement company standard operating procedures (SOP) for compounding tasks, gaining proficiency in at least one dosage form.
- Comply with all relevant regulations and laws, applying USP standards in the preparation and management of materials.
- Maintain high standards of personal hygiene and safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment.
- Accurately prepare nonsterile compounded formulations, adhering to established master formula records.
- Employ best practices to prevent cross-contamination and ensure the integrity of each medication.
- Regularly clean and sanitize the compounding workspace and equipment, following industry guidelines.
- Keep meticulous records of compounded medications, including ingredients and expiration details.
- Monitor inventory levels of compounding supplies and place orders as necessary.
- Engage in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with compounding practices and regulations.
- Collaborate effectively with pharmacists and team members to ensure timely completion of compounding tasks.
- Demonstrate reliability and punctuality in all aspects of work.
- Participate in cross-training across various departments as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Entry-level position; prior experience in pharmacy preferred.
- Experience in non-sterile compounding is advantageous but not mandatory.
WORK SCHEDULE
- 8-hour shifts
- Day shift availability preferred
