Heavy Equipment Diesel Mechanic

Vulcan Materials Company is a leading producer of construction aggregates and a major producer of aggregates-based construction materials. We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Diesel Mechanic to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:- Promote a culture of safety throughout the operation, prioritizing the well-being of yourself and others at all times.
- Service, repair, adjust, and test all mobile equipment to maximize performance and limit downtime.
- Inspect equipment and material to identify and troubleshoot errors, performing repairs as necessary.
- Handle and move objects safely throughout the shop and plant.
- Document and record information accurately, ensuring correct and timely completion of service reports.
- Operate equipment as needed to ensure production continues efficiently.
- Perform general physical activities, including climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling.
- Previous experience working on diesel or heavy construction equipment is preferred.
- Knowledge of general principles and practices of servicing heavy construction equipment is preferred.
- Flexibility to work overtime and extended hours, as well as tolerate exposure to loud noises and varying weather conditions.
- Mechanical skills, including knowledge of industrial tools and their maintenance.
