We are actively seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Operating Room professional to join our team. As a perioperative nurse specialist, you will play a critical role in promoting the mission, vision, and values of SCA.

Responsibilities

  • \
  • Absorb and process information from various sources to develop an individualized perioperative patient plan of care\
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to plan and coordinate perioperative patient care\
  • Contribute to maintaining a safe and efficient operating room environment\
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient care and treatment plans\
  • Promote open communication among healthcare providers and patients to ensure optimal patient outcomes\
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve patient satisfaction and experience\
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety\
  • Stay current with advancements in surgical techniques, technologies, and best practices to provide evidence-based care\
  • Engage in ongoing education and training to maintain certification and licensure requirements\
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to achieve organizational goals and objectives\
  • Support the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards\
  • Foster a culture of respect, empathy, and professionalism within the organization\
  • Adhere to confidentiality and data protection policies to safeguard patient information\
  • Cultivate strong relationships with patients, families, and caregivers to ensure seamless transitions of care\
  • Manage competing priorities and deadlines while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy\
  • Operate equipment and technology safely and efficiently to minimize risk and optimize efficiency\
  • Prioritize tasks and activities to meet deadlines and achieve desired outcomes\

Requirements

  • \
  • Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution\
  • Current state nursing licensure to practice in good standing\
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of employment or documentation of current BLS certification\
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within 90 days of employment or documentation of current ACLS certification\
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) course completion within 90 days of employment or documentation of current PALS certification (when pediatric care is included in facility scope of services)\
  • Specialty certification in Perioperative Nursing preferred\\
