Kona Fish Company Inc is seeking a skilled Accounting Clerk to join our team in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii. As a key member of our Accounting Department, you will be responsible for performing various general clerical, accounting, and administrative support functions. Your duties will include general accounts receivable functions, such as preparing and submitting customer invoices, preparing and coordinating deposits, coding, posting, and receiving payments, and performing document imaging of Accounts Receivable documents. You will also be responsible for general accounts payable functions, including checking, verifying, and processing invoices, sorting, coding, and entering accounts payable data, analyzing discrepancies and unpaid invoices, maintaining vendor files, sorting and mailing check payments to vendors, and performing document imaging of Accounts Payable documents. Additionally, you will provide general support functions, such as maintaining accounting files and financial records, assisting in month-end reporting procedures, assisting with employee expense reports, performing filing and general administrative tasks, and liaising with other departments/customers/vendors. To be successful in this role, you will need an associate degree in business or accounting, two years of experience in General Accounting, one year of experience in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, and proficiency in MS Office and accounting software. You will also need to possess strong planning and organizing skills, attention to detail and accuracy, teamwork, customer service orientation, communication skills, and integrity.
