Job Summary

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a skilled HVAC Technician 3 to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our rental equipment, and providing training and guidance to other technicians.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Communicate effectively with customers, managers, and sales engineers to schedule deliveries, pick-ups, and service calls.
  • Deliver and install rented HVAC equipment, training authorized operators on safe use and operation.
  • Troubleshoot and understand the operation, function, specifications, capabilities, and controls of rental equipment.
  • Operate company vehicles safely and follow all company safety policies.
  • Clean and test returned equipment, ensuring operation and appearance meet standards.
  • Complete paperwork for deliveries, pick-ups, and service calls.
  • Install flexible gas hoses on propane and natural gas applications, following proper and safe procedures.
  • Work with managers and sales engineers to maintain accurate records and tracking of in-stock and rented equipment.
  • Be available for emergency service and respond to calls on weekends and evenings.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of HVAC experience.
  • Must have an HVAC Certificate, recognizing formal training and legal ability to work on refrigeration systems.
  • Basic math skills and mechanical aptitude.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to work some after-hours and weekend shifts during peak times.
