Job Title: Associate Network Administrator

DirectViz Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Associate Network Administrator to join our team in Sierra Vista, Arizona at Fort Huachuca.

Job Summary:

The Associate Network Administrator is responsible for ensuring the organization's Wide Area Network (WAN) infrastructure and related systems are well maintained and operate reliably and securely.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular systems and security monitoring, provisioning, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
  • Administer, operate, maintain, and support WAN infrastructure, routers, firewalls, Ethernet switches, and related systems.
  • Follow relevant processes, procedures, and standards.
  • Provide technical support related to assigned systems within their organization and to outside customers as needed.
  • Handle patches and upgrades to ensure that systems are maximally efficient, effective, and secure.
Requirements:
  • Network device configuration fundamentals.
  • Network troubleshooting fundamentals.
  • IPv4 Subnetting.
  • IPv4 addressing and address schema.
  • Basic network services such as SSH, DNS, DHCP, NTP, and LDAP.
  • Cybersecurity fundamentals.
  • IT Industry terminology.
  • IT troubleshooting and problem-solving techniques.
  • Effective oral and written communication.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Cisco router/switch/firewall.
  • Juniper router/switch/firewall.
  • Network layer 3 configuration.
  • Network layer 3 troubleshooting.
  • BGP routing protocol.
  • OSPF routing protocol.
  • Firewall administration (Cisco/Juniper/Palo Alto).
  • VPN systems and RAVPN.
  • IT Production network experience.
Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of direct, relevant professional work experience.
  • Security+ certification.
  • OR
  • Associates degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or related field from a nationally accredited educational institution.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of direct, relevant professional work experience.
  • Security+ certification.
  • OR
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or related field from a nationally accredited educational institution.
  • Security+ certification.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to use a computer.
  • Ability to climb, kneel, or crawl.
  • Ability to lift up to 20+ lbs.
Other Requirements:
  • MUST possess a DoD interim Secret Clearance prior to employment.
  • MUST participate in a 24 x 7 shift rotation.
  • All other duties / responsibilities as assigned.
